Central Platte Valley

Adjacent to LoDo, this newly developed area of the city is booming with new lofts and residential projects. The entire area was formerly a rail yard, but today has become a neigborhood with lofts, retail, and light rail access.

Central Platte Valley page 1

Currently, the Central Platte Valley is in its infancy, and on its way to becoming the urban neigborhood planned by developers. It is on the site of an ex-railroad yard on the west side of Lower Downtown (LoDo).

This picture is one of the new lofts constructed near Riverfront Park. (A new park created along the Platte River).

Another new loft building by Riverfront Park. This one is creatively named "Riverfront Lofts".

This loft is across the street from the one in the previous photo, and breaks away from the red brick tradition modelled after Denver's LoDo.

This is the Riverfront Loft Complex, as seen from Riverfront park.

In the center of this photo is the Millenium Pedestrian bridge, which is an elaborate bridge that spans over the light rail lines and Connects the CPV to Union Station. The bridge is elevated above ground level, and has elevators and stairs to reach it.

Ground level retail also exists in the immediate vicinity of this photo.

Yet another loft building in the Riverfront Park area. On the left side of the photo is one of the Millennium Bridge elevators.
