Downtown Denver

Downtown is where the largest office buildings in Colorado are located. This area has made unbelievable progress the the past decade due to revitalization efforts. More residential is moving in, and lots of downtown retail has been constructed, including the Tabor Center, the Pavilions, and the 16th Street Mall. The explosion of nearby surrounding high density development is also increasing the focus on downtown as a major core in the Rocky Mountains.

Downtown Page 4

Here's the Qwest building, (formerly the USWest building), which is one of Denver's "big 3".

Denver's most recognizable building, the Wells Fargo Center (cash register). The foreground shows some overhead powerlines for the light rail system.

This was taken at the base of the Wells Fargo Center (above). Part of the building can be seen on the far right.

This is the church that the Broadway building was built around.

Another shot of the partial skyline. This is about 1/3 of Downtown Denver.

I took this photo because I like the stripe effects that were created on these buildings by the reflecting sunlight.
