Downtown Denver

Downtown is where the largest office buildings in Colorado are located. This area has made unbelievable progress the the past decade due to revitalization efforts. More residential is moving in, and lots of downtown retail has been constructed, including the Tabor Center, the Pavilions, and the 16th Street Mall. The explosion of nearby surrounding high density development is also increasing the focus on downtown as a major core in the Rocky Mountains.

Downtown Page 5- A Sunday

South 17th Street. This street is lined with office towers.

The shorter red building is the Brown Palace Hotel, which has seen Denver grow up around it during its long history.

Between 16th and 17th Streets are a few theatres, such as the Paramount.

Denver has fought to restore a few of its old theatres in the past decade, keeping such venues active parts of downtown.

Although a lot of the older buildings in Denver have been long since demolished, some remain.

This section of west downtown remains very much intact, and is part of the theatre district. (Although Denver doesn't really concentrate its theatres in one place).

Just another shot of a preserved building.

(And what looks like a parking garage).

Some grit.

Denver isn't quite as new looking as it is stereotyped to be.

Thankfully.

Bonus: Republic Plaza, Denver's tallest.
